Your blog got me thinking about what other films and opinions form these two might be interesting. I found their Pulp Fiction on youtube, I was trying to think of a film similar to Blue Velvet but I honestly couldn’t one and I don’t think one exists except for maybe other Lynch titles PF is a dark comedy, hip and violent kind of film so I thought I would use it in comparison. Egbert described PF as “rude and crude….also one of the year’s best films”. Does that sound like the=2 0 same guy who didn’t like BV? The overall theme I got from this segment from both critics was that PF was FUN. And because the characters, dialogue and situations were fun to watch, the violence is excusable Egbert even mentioned that he watched it three times already. This really supports the idea that Siskel and Egbert are filters for the masses.
